Chocolate Syrup
2 cups water
2 cups cane sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup cocoa powder
2 tbsp vanilla extract
To make:
- Put water, sugar and salt into a sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil for a minute and make sure the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat.
- Let this cool for about 15 minutes and then add the cocoa.
- Stir well and then add the vanilla
- Put into a jar of choice and refrigerate!
Y’all already know what this one is used for. No need for me to try and convince you to make it yourself. This one literally takes maybe 30 minutes tops to make. Not a long process at all. But what I will say is, if you don’t have the time to make it, don’t stress yourself out. Go to the store and buy the store bought option. I personally just had the few minutes to make it so I did!
I am a firm believer is making sure you don’t over run yourself. There are a lot of times when I want to make everything and its just not practical. Ya know what, I should make this into a blog instead. I think some of us need that reminder. So I am going to go do that!
