Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent
Ingredients:
19.5 Cups Water
1.5 cups washing soda
1.5 cups baking soda
1.5 cups Castile soap
Directions:
In a stock pot on the stove, bring your water to a simmer. Once your water has reached this level, pull it off the heat and add in the remaining ingredients. Take it slow as you will see the entire mixture bubble up!!!! Once it is all mixed together, then you will let the mixture cool. Once cooled, pour into desired container. It will look very watery but once it gets to 24 hours, it will thicken up more than the current look. You will only need 1/4 cup per load.
I personally have been looking for a nice liquid soap to use on our laundry. I think I will try adding in some essential oils into the dryer balls I use to smell up the laundry but I think this will keep a nice smell to the clothing. I usually find the powder mix of homemade laundry detergent, doesn’t keep your clothing smelling good after a few months of use. This one though, I feel like it will hold up and keep the laundry smelling good. I look forward to seeing how well it works over time! This recipe also didn’t take much supplies to make especially when you can bulk buy everything (water can be free) and make it even cheaper for your family!
