Homemade All Purpose Cleaner
Ingredients:
3 cups distilled water
2/3 cups hydrogen peroxide
2 tsp essential oil (I recommend lemon as it helps cut grease)
Directions:
Mix all and put into your spray bottle of choice.
This recipe is something new to our family. I always see the vinegar based cleaners and vinegar is not my favorite smell to have around the house. Don’t get me wrong, I love it for making pickles but to have it as a cleaner, it is too much. So when I found this recipe, I was so excited. I recommend shaking the spray bottle before using but spray it on your counters and give it a minute before you start wiping it away. It helped to get those stuck on foods off when I let it sit. When I tried to clean it right away, it wasn’t getting it all cleaned off and I was getting frustrated. So I highly recommend that you take a moment to let it sit.
You can use any essential oil that you would like but I would recommend lemon as it cuts grease too. I also like to take the jar and fill it with cut up lemons and then pour the distilled water over it and set over night. Once that sits, then I will strain it and use that as my distilled water too. We use all purpose cleaner pretty fast so I feel comfortable to use fresh lemon rinds to make the cleaner. If you choose to go with a different essential oil, might I recommend something like lavender, rosemary or orange! These would be some lovely scents to have smelling up your house!
