Big Cookie Baking Plans!!

Big Cookie Baking Plans!!

It’s crazy to say but we are not far from our crazy cookie baking day. Now we will only bake off 3 of these but we do plan to freeze the rest. This started last year but it has become a tradition really fast! We spend Christmas Eve mixing up all of the batters and then in the evening we drive around to see Christmas lights while eating the few we baked off.

This year we have 10 delicious cookies planned and we made sure to catch everyones favorite too. I’m planning to add the recipes to the recipe blog as I have a few minutes. Trust me, I know, by the time we post all of these everyone will be done with cookies and not need another. But I am late to the game and we are going to still post! Health needed it so I will now make up for the lost time. So here we go on the catch up game.

We are making:

Grinch Cookies - With peppermint flavor and colored with matcha

Sugar Cookies- baking these off

Gingersnaps

Chewy & Delicious ganache filled chocolate thumbprints - baking these off

Classic peanut butter cookies - sunflower butter instead

Oatmeal Cream pies - baking these off

Chocolate Crinkle

Snowballs

Soft and Chewy White Chocolate Macadamia Nut

Sourdough Discard Snickerdoodle

Beside each of them, I pointed out which ones we will be actually baking. I really look forward to the oatmeal cream pies. Now these ones, our friend made and I was in love with them right away. So I thought they would be fun to have for our car ride around to see all of the lights. But the sugar cookies are more of the cake style cookies so they need to be baked off. Lastly Jeremy wanted the thumbprint ones so we are going to make those right away too. The ganache, I didn’t want to try putting it in the freezer so I think baking it off would be the best bet instead.

So in the mean time, I am also making some cookies for our neighbors. They are Christmas Monster cookies. These ones, I have already picked up the appropriate red and green m&m’s so I can make the true deal Christmas vibes. For some reason I have the hardest time trying to find those stinking colored M&M’s but this year I saw them one time out shopping and didn’t pick them up. Then I realized I actually needed some and we ran quickly while on our family vacation so I could make sue I had the correct colors. Look, I gotta be festive!!!!

I really look forward to the next two weeks where we will be doing lots of baking and time with friends but I am not going to lie, I may be a tad bit nervous to get this all done. I can sit back here on this trip and write this blog but I know very well that I have lots to accomplish before Christmas. I still gotta get the gifts!!!! So off I go to finish planning out life so I wont be so overwhelmed for the next few weeks!!!
